You're Absolutely right! This house does look bigger than just 1,345 sqft on the tax records, and in fact it is if you want it to be. The owner converted the garage into another (bonus) room which adds about 300 additional sqft. The bonus room is fully insulated and under air, and in fact is very comfortable. As an added surprise however, the owner chose to insulate the garage door, and put a beautiful mural on it instead of removing and walling it in. This means the room can still be opened up and enjoyed like a comfortable patio simply by lifting the garage door. which is also screened in to keep any unwanted pests out. It's a lovely space, and it would bring the total sqft for the home to 1,645, but if you wanted to use the space as a garage, you have that option too.

It's actually a little known fact that NASA chose it's location, right off the coast here, specifically because of the weather patterns it studied over the previous 100 years before it was built. Due to the storm history, and weather patterns, it was determined to be the safest location along the Eastern Coast of the United States, and it must be.
This home has the original windows still on it from when it was built in 1981, and they are in fantastic shape. In fact, the owners don't even board up the house when Hurricanes are coming! That's impressive given the town has been hit directly by more than 20 large Tropical Storms and Hurricanes since the home was built.
The home is not in a flood zone, so rest assured, knowing you will be sitting out the storms high and dry. (New roof just installed December 2023 as well).
The owners report that they have lost power during 2 storms over the past 15 years. The home is already wired for a generator, however, which powers all three bedrooms, Kitchen, Garage space, and the patio. Just bring your generator and plug it in at the outlet located on the South side of the home if needed.
